Cascata di Marmore
Today we are going to talk about the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. That is the 165 meter high Marmore waterfall. It is located in the province of Umbria. It was created to change the course of the river Vellino through the city of Rieti. The reason for that is the damage done to the city due to periodic floods. But this is not a creation of yesterday. BC It was in 271 that the Romans made this.
This does not flow all the time. There is time for that too. Besides, you can't go and see whenever you want. You have to buy tickets for that too. This is not just a flowing waterfall, but a place that earns income from tickets on one hand, and a place that generates electricity on the other hand.
