 Before leaving the earth..

Northern white rhinoceros (๐˜Š๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ข๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ต๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ช) is a highly precious limbs from the end of the surgery on Earth. They are a subspecies of the White Rhinoceros genus, which is among the 5 rhino species found in the world. The sad fact is that there are only two animals belonging to this subspecies in the world. Both of them are females and Sudan, the last male of this species, passed away in 2018, leaving the future of the subspecies to be in serious doubt. But scientists strongly believe that with the help of modern biology, one day this subspecies will be able to be revived.

Having roamed the earth for millions of years without any predators capable of threatening their herd, these rhinos have been driven to extinction by none other than humans. Rhino horn is in great demand in some Asian countries, especially in traditional Chinese medicine where there is evidence that rhino horn has been used for over two thousand years to make some medicines. It is believed that this rhinoceros can cure rheumatic arthritis, fever, gout, snake bite, fever, food poisoning and many other diseases. But many people think that they have no scientific basis. Not only based on these facts, some others use the signs of the rhinoceros to symbolize their wealth. However, based on these reasons, the number of rhinos that have died due to rhino poaching, which has been carried out for decades and is still being carried out today, is not hundreds, but thousands.

Although the Northern White Rhinoceros animals are claimed to live in a range that extends from South Sudan, areas adjacent to Uganda and the Republic of Congo in the west to the Central African Republic in the west, the last two Northern White Rhinoceros living in the world today are Najin and Fatu live in Kenya's Ol Pejeta Conservation Center under 24-hour security. Although the sperm of Sudan, who left this world in 2018, is preserved for the future, both the female animals Najin and Fatu are not able to give birth to new offspring. Najin is Fatu's mother and she is now 34 and Fatu is 22. However, Najin's hind legs are not strong enough to support a pregnancy, and Fatu's uterus, uterine wall, myometrium and endometrium are quite thin. So Fatu fails to make a sacrifice.

But thanks to taxonomy, modern genetics and assisted reproductive technologies, scientists have come up with a way to prevent this precious animal species from disappearing from the face of the earth. Egg cells obtained from the two female Northern White Rhinoceros that live today are fertilized using laboratory methods with sperm obtained from a male Northern White Rhinoceros that lived in Sudan or before until the egg cells are grown to several cells and implanted in the womb of a female Southern White Rhinoceros. Keep safe in freezers.

Another way to secure the future of these animals is to turn the skin cells of their skin into stem cells and make sperm and egg cells from them.

(Southern White Rhinoceroses have been designated as a threatened subspecies by the IUCN and thanks to the great efforts of conservationists, their population is currently around 19,600-21,000. , a double subspecies of White Rhinoceros.)

Defeating all challenges in the desert of the universe, we have given life to life on Earth. Since then, nature has contributed to the world a large number of living species with high biodiversity. As the most intelligent species on the planet, we are entrusted with a very noble task, which is to protect these precious creatures from extinction. They are the result of an unimaginably complex evolutionary process and we should be ashamed of such animal species becoming extinct. However, almost every day, many species of animals are at risk of extinction and it is our responsibility to protect the most important creations of nature.
