The Purple Island of Korea

Banwol Island, which is located to the west of South Korea, is popular worldwide as The Purple Island. About 400 buildings on this island are colored purple. In the same way, even things like telephone booths and bridges on this island can be seen colored purple.


It is reported that about 150 people live on this island. But reports also state that around 200,000 tourists visit this island every year.
