The world's largest red gem is scheduled to be auctioned on June 8 in New York, America.


Named โ€œEsterla de Furaโ€, this red gem weighs 55.22 carats.


The auction is conducted by Sotheby's Magnificent Jewels and the base price is reported to be 30 million US dollars.


If it is sold at that price, it will also go down in history as the highest priced red gem in the world.


It is said that this red gem was found in Myanmar in July of last year, and then it was cut and polished after the initial sales and put up for auction.
